December 11, 2015 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - TRAVEL ALERT - Colorado Springs – As part of the Interstate 25/Cimarron Interchange Project, short intermittent closures will be required on U.S. 24 between I-25 and 8th Street on Dec. 15 from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m.

Eastbound and westbound traffic will be stopped for approximately 15-minute intervals during this timeframe. Watch for Colorado Springs Police directing traffic in this area.

This closure will allow Colorado Springs Utilities to remove existing overhead power lines.  These lines will be relocated underground to accommodate the new alignment of U.S. 24 and southbound I-25.
