Hanging Lake rest area will be closed tomorrow to complete guardrail repair

December 1, 2015 - TRAVEL ALERT- Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - Guardrail installation at Hanging Lake rest area Dec. 2nd.

GARFIELD COUNTY/GLENWOOD CANYON  On Wednesday, Dec. 2, maintenance crews from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will complete installation of guardrail that was damaged in a rock fall incident last June. Equipment will be staged at the Hanging Lake rest area entrance/exit ramp necessitating the closure for the day.

TRAFFIC AND RECREATIONAL IMPACTS: The rest area will be closed to vehicles for the day. The Glenwood Canyon bike path is closed for the season.
