Work Continues on I-25 Bridge near Larkspur

November 12, 2015 - Denver Metro/CDOT Region 1 - Night work taking place this weekend.

DOUGLAS COUNTY — Overnight paving operations will be taking place on the northbound Interstate 25 bridge over Upper Lake Gulch Road this weekend, just east of Larkspur.

Work is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, and will continue until 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14.  The paving is weather permitting.

TRAVEL IMPACTS: During this phase, all northbound I-25 traffic will be detoured via the off- and on-ramps. Traffic will be reduced to one lane.

Travelers wanting to access northbound I-25 from Larkspur will need to go north on Spruce Mountain Road to the main Larkspur interchange. Access to southbound I-25 will be maintained on Upper Lake Gulch Road. Traffic slowing measures will be implemented on I-25, as needed, to ensure safety of vehicles traveling westbound on Upper Lake Gulch Road who need to access northbound I-25 or cross the I-25 detour ramp into Larkspur. Anticipate longer wait times on Upper Lake Gulch Road.

Drivers can expect lane shifts, a reduced 45 mph speed limit and possible delays through the work zone. Please allot extra time to travel through this area.

All work is weather dependent. For project updates, please email [email protected] or call the project hotline at 303-562-1812.
