Asset management: SH 61 north of Otis to close for two weeks on Monday

October 1, 2015 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - WASHINGTON COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation will be replacing the deck of a bridge on State Highway 61 about 3.5 miles north of Otis, closing the road on Monday through Oct. 15.

CDOT maintenance crews will be working on the bridge over Surveyor Creek which was built in 1952. The wood deck will be replaced with steel deck to extend the life and make the bridge more safe for travelers.

A marked 3-mile detour – using county roads 44, 43 and SS – will be in place.

For information about other CDOT projects, the public may log on to CDOT’s traveler information website at www.codot.gov, where you can download the CDOT mobile application by clicking on the cellphone icon in the bottom-right side of the page.
