One More Night for Closure at I-25/Fillmore

September 16, 2015 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) needs to close Interstate 25 at Fillmore Street for one more night to finish demolishing the old bridge.

Wednesday, Sept. 16, 9 p.m. to Thursday, Sept. 17, 5 a.m.
I-25 will be closed at Fillmore Street.  All northbound and southbound traffic will use the Fillmore on- and off-ramps to detour around the site.  Eastbound and westbound Fillmore Street will remain open over I-25, utilizing the new bridge. 

Following the demolition work, intermittent single lane closures will be in place on northbound and/or southbound I-25 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, Sunday, Sept. 20, Monday, Sept, 21, and Tuesday, Sept. 22. 

The demolition work is part of a Colorado Department of Transportation interchange reconstruction project.  Completion is scheduled for summer 2016.
