SH 96 to be closed Wednesday, June 17 through Thursday, June 18 for culvert replacements

June 16, 2015 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - DENVER – Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, CDOT maintenance crews will close State Highway 96 near Avondale through Thursday, June 18 to replace culverts in the area.

Traffic will be detoured using SH 209 during the closure.

Traffic on eastbound SH 96 will be detoured at Avondale Boulevard to US 50 East and north to SH 209 to SH 96.

Traffic on westbound SH 96 will be detoured at the junction of SH 96 and SH 209. Traffic will be detoured on US 50.

The detour is approximately eight miles.
