Work planned on SH 257 over Big Thompson River pushed to late summer

March 12, 2015 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - Permanent flood repair postponed til later this summer.

MILLIKEN – The permanent flood repair work planned to begin March 16 that would have closed the bridge over the Big Thompson River on State Highway 257, just south of the Mad Russian Golf Course, will be postponed until later this summer.

As work was being planned for the bridge, some issues around utilities in the area would have delayed the work to the point where the work could have been in jeopardy from the spring runoff, so CDOT decided to delay the project until after the high water recedes.

Neighbors and businesses will receive at least 30-day notice before the closure this summer.
