Bridge joint replacement on I-25 over 48th Ave. and I-70 ramps restarts Sunday night

March 27, 2015 - Metro Denver Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - DENVER – Starting Sunday night, March 29, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will continue a $1 million bridge joint replacement project on I-25 over 48th Avenue and the I-70 collector-distributor ramps.

Ongoing mainline I-25 single and double lane closures will occur from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays. Work will occur as necessary from 11 p.m. until 10 a.m. on weekends.

Before the winter shutdown, ABCO Contracting Company, Inc. (ABCO) made meaningful progress on southbound I-25 and within the I-25 HOV/Toll Express Lanes.

This spring, crews will first finish southbound I-25 bridge joints over the I-70 collector-distributor ramps and then transition to northbound I-25 locations. The project is approximately 50 percent complete with an anticipated end date in late May 2015.

CDOT would like to remind motorists to Slow for the Cone Zone. Fines will be doubled within the work zone.
