Railroad Repairs to Close Highway 67
February 6, 2015 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - FLORENCE, CO – State Highway (SH) 67 will be closed at the south end of Florence for about four days next week for railroad crossing work.
The closure begins on Monday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 a.m., and is expected to continue until the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 12. While the highway is closed, the following marked detour will be in place:
- TRAVELING SOUTH ON HIGHWAY 67 - South on Railroad Street from SH 67, right on South Union Street, left on Moore Drive (CR 35X), and back to SH 67.
- TRAVELING NORTH ON HIGHWAY 67 – Left on Moore Drive, right on South Union, left on Railroad, and back to SH 67.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is closing a short segment of Highway 67 to allow the Union Pacific Railroad to resurface its crossing and replace its badly-worn tracks.
