Area: West of Dolores
Location: SH 145, Mile Point (MP) 0-6
Duration: 9/8 through 9/10, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Description: Paving from junction of US 491 east for six miles; expect delays of 5-10 minutes
Area: New Mexico State Line at Archuleta/Conejos County
Location: SH 17, Mile Point (MP) 0-4 (weather permitting)
Duration: 9/8 through 9/11, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Description: Slope repairs, possible equipment on shoulder, trucks crossing; minimal/no impact, drive with caution
Area: Bayfield West and East
Location: US 160, Mile Point (MP) 91-121
Duration: 9/8 through 9/12, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Description: Roadside mowing; some traffic slowing, minimal delays
Area: South Fork
Location: US 160, Mile Point (MP) 186.3
Duration: 9/11 only, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Description: Bridge inspection, single-lane closure with minimal travel delay
Area: Northwest of Buena Vista
Location: US 24, Mile Point (MP) 203.5 - 206.5
Duration: 9/8 through 9/12, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Description: Highway chip seal, which protects and preserves the life of pavement that is in good or fair condition. Single-lane traffic, speed reduction from 65 down to 40 mph; please drive with caution and leave a safe following distance.
*CDOT’s Region 5 includes the counties of Montezuma, Dolores, San Miguel, southern Montrose, Ouray, San Juan, La Plata, Archuleta, Mineral, Chaffee, Saguache, Rio Grande, Conejos, Alamosa and Costilla. There are two Maintenance Sections (headquartered in Durango and Alamosa), six Maintenance Areas (with offices in Durango, Ridgway, Cortez, Alamosa, Monte Vista and Salida) and numerous Maintenance Patrols within those Areas. Each Maintenance Section also has a “Special Crews” division for Section-wide support work, including avalanche control, facilities maintenance, culvert work and more.
