Boulder to Denver Wraps Up Pro Challenge

BOULDER — The USA Pro Challenge comes to an end today with a 78.4-mile race from Boulder to Denver, a route that includes segments of six state highways.

Lane and road closures and required traffic stops will be taking place outside of downtown Denver between noon and 3 p.m.

• STATE: State Highway (SH) 93 from Boulder to Washington Avenue in Golden, with the following closures as the race makes its way from Golden to downtown Denver –

o   Off-ramps from eastbound and westbound SH 58 to Washington Avenue in Golden closed

o   U.S. 40 from Lookout Mountain Road to Heritage Road (CR 93)

o   Off-ramps from eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 to 32^nd Avenue closed

o   SH 391 (Kipling Street) closed between 26^th and 32^nd avenues

o   SH 121 (Wadsworth Boulevard) closed between 26^th and 32^nd avenues

o   SH 95 (Sheridan Boulevard) closed between 29^th and 32^nd avenues

o   Off-ramps from northbound and southbound I-25 to Speer Boulevard closed

o   U.S 40/287 (Colfax Avenue) closed between Glenarm Place and Sherman Street

To help motorists navigate the various state and local roadways, the Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) website www.cotrip.org will have information regarding highway closures, delays, oversize and overweight restrictions, suggested alternative routes, and answers to frequently asked questions. Links to the host city websites also are provided, offering information regarding local road closures and long-term parking availability.  Delay and closure times are estimates only and subject to change depending on the pace of the race, weather, and other unanticipated conditions.
