104th Avenue to close for railroad and highway utility work

COMMERCE CITY, COLO. – E. 104th Avenue at US 85 will be closed for four days to relocate and replace utilities along the highway and railroad corridors. The closure will be 24 hours a day beginning 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, and continuing through 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18. Full closure ensures the safety of the public as well as the project’s contractors.

In order to minimize impacts to motorists who use E. 104th for their commute during the week, the City of Commerce City and the Union Pacific Railroad Company (UPRR) are consolidating railroad and highway utility work into the same closure, and are completing much of the work over the weekend.
