Repairs to SH 82 in Aspen Scheduled this Week

May 19, 2014 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - PITKIN COUNTY-Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) crews will be performing standard maintenance operations on two westbound sections of highway in Aspen on Tuesday, May 20.

Crews will be rotomilling and paving a 600 foot section of road from the Hickory House headed west and a 300 foot section from Castle Creek Bridge to the east.

The milling operation will take place on Tuesday and the paving operation will take place on Wednesday, May 28.

An alternate route will be set-up at the Castle Creek bridge operation and traffic control will be in place.   The detour will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on May 20 and from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on May 28 when both sections are repaved.

ALTERNATE ROUTE: SH 82 westbound traffic will exit at north 7th Street to west Smuggler Street, heading west to Power Plant Road to Cemetery Lane and back to westbound SH 82.
