Detour on US 285 & US 50 Poncha Springs Intersection Improvement Project will begin next week

May 30, 2014 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - A detour will be in place beginning next week on the US 285 & US 50 Poncha Springs Intersection Improvement Project.

Starting Monday, June 2, all traffic will use the current on-ramp for US 50 to both enter and exit the highway. The US 50 off-ramp and the westbound lane that connects to US 285 will be closed.

Traffic will be in a two-lane, head-to-head configuration on the eastbound ramp of US 50, with one lane of traffic in each direction. This pattern will last for approximately the next two months.

Motorists can expect minimal delays throughout the project and should plan accordingly.
