CDOT Seeking Input on Statewide Transit
Citizens are invited to attend on Monday, May 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at CDOT Headquarters – Shumate Building (east end of campus), 4201 E. Arkansas Avenue, Denver. A formal presentation will begin about 5:30 p.m.
CDOT is gathering feedback on how best to enhance local, regional and human service transportation needs as part of developing a comprehensive and integrated transit system for Colorado. It includes examining various aspects of transit, including what services currently exist, where there are gaps in service, future requirements, and how much funding will be needed.
This is the second of five open houses being held this month in Colorado’s largest urban areas. CDOT already has conducted 17 open houses in the state’s non-urban regions. All of the information gathered from these forums will be integrated into the Statewide Transit Plan, which is expected to be completed in early summer 2014. Then it will be integrated into CDOT’s Statewide Transportation Plan.
