Day & Night Lane Closures Scheduled on I-25 Next Week

March 14, 2014 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - Closures necessary for highway maintenance

Colorado Springs – Drivers on Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs and north El Paso County will experience temporary daytime and nighttime lane closures early next week as crews take advantage of warmer, drier weather to patch potholes.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, March 17

  • Single right lane closures

¨       Southbound between North Gate Boulevard and Interquest Parkway

¨       Northbound at Academy Boulevard onramp

¨       Northbound between Interquest Parkway and North Gate Boulevard

  • Single left lane closure

¨       Northbound south of Interquest Parkway

9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 18

  • Single right lane closure

¨       Southbound at North Gate Boulevard

¨       Northbound between Briargate Parkway and Interquest Parkway

  • Single left lane closure

¨       Southbound north of  North Gate Boulevard

9 p.m., Tuesday, March 18 to to 5:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 19

  • Double left-lane closure

¨       Southbound south of North Gate Boulevard

¨       Southbound Interquest Parkway to Briargate Parkway

¨       Northbound north of Academy Boulevard

  • Double right-lane closure

¨       Northbound north of Interquest Parkway

Drivers are asked to obey the posted speed limits in the work zone, particularly when capacity is reduced to one lane. Drivers are reminded that the asphalt they’re driving on is not the final pavement. The final pavement will be applied in the spring and summer of 2014 when temperatures are warmer.
