Upcoming Maintenance Project on I-25

January 10, 2014 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - PUEBLO COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be performing crack sealing operations on Interstate 25 between the south Pueblo city limits and Burnt Mill Road (mile 88 – 92) next week.

Drivers can expect a left or right lane closure on northbound I-25 on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 13 and 14, from8 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Left and right lane closures should be anticipated on southbound I-25 on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 15 and 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph and local law enforcement will be on hand to observe traffic and maintain safety.

Motorists are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.

Crack sealing provides several benefits to the roadway surface: seals cracks, prevents water intrusion and pavement deterioration, and extends the life of the pavement for a few years.
