I-25 Bridge Work Set for this Weekend

December 13, 2013 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - EL PASO COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close the left lane of northbound Interstate 25 at the South Academy Boulevard Bridge on Sunday, December 15, to replace expansion joints.

Drivers can expect slowdowns and delays through the area while traffic is reduced to one lane from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Alternate routes are advised, including State Highway 16 (Exit 132) to U.S. 85 and back to northbound I-25 at Academy.

The work is being performed during the day since the joint material requires warmer temperatures.
