Atmos Energy Work Switches to Northbound Main at 18th

December 18, 2013 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - DURANGO – Motorists on US 550 (North Main Avenue) will encounter a single-lane closure on northbound Main Avenue (US 550) at 18th Street, as Atmos Energy continues its work to upgrade its utility lines under the roadway.

Through Monday, the inside (left) lane of northbound Main Avenue will remain closed—24 hours a day—while Atmos removes and reinstalls a concrete panel in order accomplish their work.

TRAFFIC BACK-UPS DURING PEAK TRAVEL - This lane restriction will cause traffic back-ups not only on northbound Main, but on northbound Camino del Rio approaching Main and on westbound 14^th, 15^thand Park Avenue approaching Main. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes during the peak travel times, if possible, or drive cautiously and allow approaching motorists the space to merge.
