Drivers can travel through Manitou Springs while traffic is stopped. Eastbound traffic can use Serpentine Drive to U.S. 24 Business (Manitou Avenue) and travel to the east Manitou Springs exit. Westbound traffic can exit at the east Manitou Springs exit and go west via Manitou Avenue to Serpentine Drive and back to U.S. 24.
The stops continue until 3 p.m.
CDOT needs to remove some loose rocks sitting above the north slope of Highway 24 near Cave of the Winds. Traffic stops are required to maintain safe driving conditions for the traveling public.
