Several area highways remain closed until storm ceases and assessments are completed

September 12, 2013 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - NORTHEAST COLORADO — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) continues to keep several highways closed as a result of the storms that began last night. Many of the closed highways have sustained significant damage as a result of flooding, mudslides, rockfall, and other debris.

Bridge Monitoring Equipment installation canceled

September 16, 2013 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - MANITOU SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is canceling the installation of its pilot bridge monitoring system on the U.S. 24 Williams Canyon Bridge due to the floods in the north and northeastern part of the state.

CDOT Begins Culvert Replacement on US 491 North of Cortez

September 17, 2013 - Southwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - MONTEZUMA COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation began a project on Monday, September 16, to replace a corroded steel culvert under US 491 just north of Cortez (and north of Lebanon Road, or CR 25).

I-70 Eagle Interchange - Traffic Switch

September 18, 2013 - PROJECT UPDATE - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - EAGLE - Next Wednesday, September 25, the I-70 Eagle Interchange construction project will complete a significant milestone: the intersection of Eby Creek Road and westbound I-70 ramps will adopt a new roundabout traffic configuration, increasing safety and reducing westbound off-ramp delays.

Travel Impacts on US 50 over Monarch Pass for Special Use Permit

September 19, 2013 - Southwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - CHAFFEE COUNTY – Universal Pictures is using US 50 over Monarch Pass to shoot scenes for an upcoming film. This production work will be done at various locations between mile marker (MM) 190 at Sargents and MM 206 in the Monarch/Garfield area.

US 36 Closed Nightly This Weekend for First Major Bridge Demolition

September 19, 2013 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - BROOMFIELD – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close US 36 nightly, Sept. 20-23, to demolish the 112th/Olde Wadsworth bridge in Broomfield, the first of the old major bridges on the US 36 Express Lanes Project to be demolished.
