Paving on Highway 115 Postponed One Week
September 9, 2013 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - FREMONT COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be paving State Highway 115, between mile one and three, just east of Caňon City, next week. Work originally was scheduled to take place this week but rescheduled due to the high probability of thunderstorms.
On Monday, September 16, and Tuesday, September 17, drivers can expect traffic stops up to 15 minutes as flaggers and a pilot car alternate traffic through the work zone from 6:30 a.m. until about 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Paving is a preventative maintenance operation, extending the highway’s effective surface life three to five years.
Motorists are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.
