Lane Shift on I-25 South of RidgeGate Friday Night

September 25, 2013 - PROJECT UPDATE - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - DOUGLAS COUNTY – This Friday night and Saturday morning, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will shift traffic into a new lane configuration on the bridge rehabilitation project on I-25 south of RidgeGate. The traffic shift will take place as follows:
  • Southbound traffic will have a left-lane closure up to the Surrey Ridge Bridge, and then be channelized through the median area and back.
  • Northbound traffic will have a left-lane closure to Happy Canyon Creek Bridge, and then will be channelized through the median area and back.

This traffic configuration will remain in place for another week. More detailed information will be sent later this week.

The speed limit is reduced to 55 mph though the construction zone.  Thank you for going Slow for the Cone Zone!

This $1.8 million project is replacing numerous concrete slabs and all the expansion joints on the bridges at Surrey Ridge Road and Happy Canyon Creek Road, just south of RidgeGate, in order to extend the life of the pavement and the bridge. In addition, slab corrections and jacking will be taking place at RidgeGate.

ABCO Contracting, Inc. of Denver is the contractor for the project. It is scheduled for completion in November 2013.
