SH 133 Safety Improvements Project Public Open House
July 10, 2013 - OPEN HOUSE - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - CARBONDALE — The Colorado Department of Transportation is hosting a public open house on Wednesday, July 17, to share details on the upcoming safety and mobility improvements on SH 133 in Carbondale.
The open house (no formal presentation will be given) will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carbondale Town Hall, 511 Colorado Avenue.
SH 133 roadway construction is anticipated to begin in April of 2014.
Those who attend the open house will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about the Project Leadership Team and process
- Learn about the project scope and view the proposed improvements
- Learn about the construction schedule
The SH 133 Safety Improvements project includes the following:
- Construction of a roundabout at SH 133 and Main Street
- Pavement surfacing and new striping from Cowen Drive to Dolores Way and Main Street to Meadowood Drive.
- Roadway widening for the addition of a two-way left turn between Dolores Way and Main Street
- New trail connections
- New signal and pedestrian crossings at SH 133/Snowmass Drive
