HPTE Board Considering Adjusted Morning Peak Period Toll Rates for I-25 Express Lanes

June 10, 2013 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Statewide Transportation Plan - DENVER—On June 19, 2013, the High Performance Transportation Enterprise (HPTE) Board will act on a resolution to adjust toll rates for an additional hour in the morning peak period between 6:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. on the I-25 HOV/tolled Express Lanes between downtown Denver and US 36.

If the resolution is passed, the new toll rates will be $4.00 for ExpressToll customers for the full peak period, effective July 1, 2013.

The toll adjustment is required by the intergovernmental agreement with the Regional Transportation District (RTD).  Per the agreement, the I-25 HOV/tolled Express Lanes peak period toll cannot be any less than the express bus fare for that route. All other toll rates would remain the same for now during other time periods.
