May 1, 2013 - CONSTRUCTION PROJECT UPDATE - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - GARFIELD/EAGLE COUNTIES – The Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Old Castle SW Group, Inc., are making good progress on the project to improve State Highway 82 east (up-valley) of Carbondale.

US 160/491 South Broadway Reconstruction Complete

May 3, 2013 - PROJECT COMPLETE - CORTEZ – On May 2, the Colorado Department of Transportation issued the final acceptance letter to contractor Lawson Construction, marking the completion of concrete reconstruction and safety improvements on US 160/US 491 in Cortez.

I-70 Twin Tunnels Weekly Traffic Advisory

May 3, 2013 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - IDAHO SPRINGS – Traffic continues to move smoothly on the two-lane, eastbound Interstate 70 frontage road around the Twin Tunnels. Please remember to anticipate slower traffic and a 35 mph speed limit while the detour remains in place through late 2013.

CDOT Announces New Program Engineer for Region 3

May 3, 2013 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - NORTHWEST – The Colorado Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the promotion of Grand Junction Resident Engineer Jason Smith to West Program Engineer in Region 3 (northwest Colorado, 14.5 counties).

SH 79 and Kiowa-Bennett Corridor Study Alternatives Available for Review

May 6, 2013 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Bennett, CO – The Town of Bennett has partnered with Adams and Arapahoe Counties and the Colorado Department of Transportation to conduct a detailed transportation study of the State Highway (SH) 79 and Kiowa-Bennett Road corridors north and south of I-70 around the Bennett area.

May 6, 2013 - PROJECT UPDATE - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - GLENWOOD SPRINGS - Since the Public Open House on January 9, the Grand Avenue project team has been working to add definition to the preferred alternative for the Environmental Assessment (EA).

CDOT Selects Team for US 6 Design-Build Safety and Mobility Project

May 9, 2013 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER—The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has selected the team of Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU) and Edward Kraemer and Sons, Inc. for the US 6 design-build project that will reconstruct 6th Ave. (US 6) from Knox Court to just east of I-25, replace five bridges that are either structurally deficient or functionally obsolete and improve the Federal Boulevard/US 6 interchange.
