Power Line Installation to Slow I-25 Traffic Tomorrow

May 17, 2013 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - EL PASO COUNTY – Drivers should expect slower traffic on northbound and southbound Interstate 25 on Saturday to allow Colorado Springs Utilities to install power lines across the highway.

Beginning at 5 a.m. and continuing until around 8 a.m., CSU crews will be pulling four separate lines by hand across I-25 near the Ray Nixon Power Plant, just south of Fountain.  It is expected to take about 15 minutes to pull each line across.  The Colorado State Patrol will be pacing and slowing traffic through the area so some delays should be anticipated.
