I-70 Twin Tunnels Weekly Traffic Advisory

March 21, 2013 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - IDAHO SPRINGS – Traffic stops and day and night lane closures will be in place next week in the Twin Tunnels area of Interstate 70 at the east end of Idaho Springs for rock scaling, weather permitting.

Highway 50 Improvement Project underway next week

March 26, 2013 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - OTERO COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) begins upgrading U.S. 50 from east of La Junta to just west of the Otero/Bent county line on Monday, April 1.

First Phase of I-25 Widening Begins Tonight

March 28, 2013 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - Initial work includes temporary closure of Ackerman Overlook - COLORADO SPRINGS – Work gets underway this evening on the @i25expansion Project as the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and its project contractor begin preparing the highway for the upcoming widening project between north Colorado Springs and Monument.

State Highway 13 Reconstruction Project Begins Monday

March 29, 2013 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - Work will take place south of Meeker and north of Rifle - RIO BLANCO COUNTY — Beginning Monday, April 1, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin a reconstruction project on State Highway (SH) 13 near Meeker directly north of 14 Mile Creek.

Bridge Girder Installation to Close I-25 Near 15th Street Tonight and Sunday Night

March 29, 2013 - Denver Metro Area/CDOT Region 6 - Tonight, March 29 and Sunday, March 31, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will install girders for the southern half of the new 15th Street bridge over I-25 as part of a safety and mobility project on I-25. As a result, there will be a full closure of both northbound and southbound I-25 as well as 15th Street on Friday and Sunday. Major delays are expected and alternate routes are strongly advised.

CDOT to Resume Construction of New Roundabout at “Society Turn,” Telluride Spur Road and SH 145

March 31, 2013 - Southwest Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - Project receives FASTER safety funding - TELLURIDE – On Monday, April 1, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will resume a safety improvement project to build a new roundabout at State Highway 145 and Society Turn approximately three miles west of Telluride. Preliminary work was completed in the fall, including underground utility work and construction of a temporary detour, before the project was shut down for the winter.
