Lengthy Stops required for Bridge Project, Five miles East of Florence
Drivers can expect these stops on State Highway 120 throughout the day – from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. – on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, April 2 through April 4.
At all other times, a signal is alternating eastbound and westbound traffic across the bridge in two minute intervals, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The $3.8 million project is scheduled for completion in July 2013.
CDOT is replacing the poor, functionally obsolete, one-lane, 86-year-old bridge with a two-lane structure that includes shoulders and wider bridge approaches. Reconstructing bridges on the state highway system allows CDOT to provide safer and more efficient travel for drivers.
