SH 82 Grand Avenue Bridge “Story Poling” Event Planned for March 7
GLENWOOD SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation is hosting an event in in response to questions received through our Grand Avenue Bridge public outreach program. On Thursday, March 7, the project team will be on location, showing the width and height options of the new SH 82 Grand Avenue Bridge between 7th and 8th streets, and a potential ADA-compliant pedestrian ramp. There are two opportunities to see how the options relate to the existing bridge (please see event notice and flyer on our web site: http://www.coloradodot.info/projects/sh82grandavenuebridge.)
In addition, to address public comments regarding other issues on SH 82--the Access Control Plan and a future bypass—CDOT has posted new Frequently Asked Questions on the project website, which include:
- Answers to the questions that were posed at the "Bypass Roadmap" Conversation Circle during the January 9 Public Open House.
- Answers to recent questions related to the downtown area and the Midland Avenue construction detour.
Interested citizens are encouraged to sign up to receive SH 82 corridor updates via CDOT's free message system by going to www.coloradodot.info and clicking on the green cell phone in the upper right-hand corner of the page. After signing in, scroll down to "Projects" and choose "SH 82 Aspen to Glenwood."
