State Highway 144 Closed Between Goodrich and Orchard for Bridge Deck Repairs

January 22, 2013 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - Closure likely to last three weeks.

MORGAN/WELD COUNTIES — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has closed State Highway (SH) 144 from mile marker (MM) 5.5 to MM 9.5 between Goodrich and Orchard, north of Wiggins, for the next three weeks for bridge deck repairs. The closure will be in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week until Monday, February 18.

While CDOT crews work to repair the bridge on SH 144, originally built in 1925, motorists will be able to use local county roads as alternative routes during the closure, and a detour route will be clearly labeled. Access to Jackson State Park will remain possible throughout the highway closure and CDOT will send repair updates as they become available.
