Twin Tunnels Weekly Traffic Advisory
December 13, 2012 - Central/Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Single lane closures are scheduled overnight next week at the Twin Tunnels on Interstate 70 at the east end of Idaho Springs for resetting concrete barrier and restriping.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will implement the following closures:
- Wednesday, December 19, 6 p.m. to Thursday, December 20, 6 a.m.: Left lane closed eastbound
- Thursday, December 20, 6 p.m. to Friday, December 21, 8 a.m.: Right or left lane closures eastbound at various times
When I-70 is reduced to a single lane, the speed limit is reduced to 35 mph.
Following next week’s lane closures, work impacting traffic will be suspended until after New Year’s.
