I-25 Road Work to Impact Traffic Sunday
November 16, 2012 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - The Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) will be repairing a small segment of northbound Interstate 25 in the Security/Widefield area on Sunday morning, November 18.
Beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing until about noon, the right lane of northbound I-25 will be closed, about ½ mile south of South Academy Boulevard. A reduced 55 mph speed limit will be in effect through the work zone so some slowing should be expected. The Colorado State Patrol will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
CDOT is asphalt patching a 400 foot long segment where the highway is showing some pavement failure. The patch will maintain the roadway until engineers can determine the cause of the failure and what permanent repairs are required.
