I-70 Traffic Stops in Georgetown Area
October 4, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – Lane closures and traffic stops will be taking place on Interstate 70 at Georgetown Hill next week for rock mitigation work and fencing installation, weather permitting.
- Monday, October 8, Wednesday, October 10, & Thursday, October 11: Right lane closed westbound from Georgetown to Silver Plume – 10 a.m. to sundown
- Tuesday, October 9: Traffic stops of 20 minutes on eastbound and westbound I-70 throughout the day (approximately twice each hour) from 10 a.m. until sundown. Westbound traffic will be stopped at the Georgetown interchange; eastbound traffic at Silver Plume.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is stopping traffic to maintain safety for the traveling public while work is taking place on the slopes above the highway.
