I-70 Twin Tunnels Weekly Traffic Advisory
September 6, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – A lane and ramp closure will be taking place on Interstate 70 in the Twin Tunnels (east Idaho Springs) area next week for geological testing.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will implement the following overnight closures:
- Monday, September 10, 6 p.m. to Tuesday, September 11, 6 a.m.
Right or left lane closed eastbound through the Twin Tunnels
- Wednesday, September 12, 8 p.m. to Thursday, September 13, 6 a.m.
Ramp CLOSED from westbound U.S. 6 to westbound I-70. Detour is eastbound U.S. 40 to the top of Floyd Hill, right turn accesses ramp to westbound I-70.
Lane closures continue for the next several weeks, not including weekends and holidays. Weekly advisories will be distributed, detailing traffic impacts for the following week.
