PROJECT OPEN HOUSE - SH 82 Grand Avenue Bridge Project

August 19, 2012 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - Please join the Colorado Department of Transportation and consultant Jacobs Engineering at the Public Open House and presentation on the current status of the SH 82 Grand Avenue Bridge Environmental Assessment (EA) Project.

The project has been evaluating alternatives to fix the physical and functional deficiencies of the bridge since last November. After this Public Open House, the project team anticipates deciding on an alignment for the EA, which is planned for agency review next spring. The EA will define the purpose and need for the project; describe the range of reasonable improvement alternatives; evaluate the social, economic, historical and environmental impacts of the improvements; define measures to avoid, minimize or mitigate negative impacts of the project; and solicit public involvement and obtain public input for the decision-making process.

WHEN: August 22, 2012 – Open House: 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m

WHERE: Glenwood Springs Community Center (100 Wulfsohn Road), Glenwood Springs.

The exhibits will give a brief overview of work to date and updated details about the two alternatives that are under consideration for inclusion in the EA.
