Bridge Repairs to Close One Lane of Southbound I-25 at Wellington Starting Next Week
August 3, 2012 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - From Monday, August 6 until Monday, August 27, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be performing bridge repair work on I-25 at mile marker 291 in Wellington.
Crews will be replacing a bridge joint, which will require closing one of the two lanes to traffic so crews can work on the highway and underneath the bridge.
Work will take place on the project during the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and during the first two weeks of the project, one lane of southbound I-25 will remain closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There will be a wide load restriction of 12 feet for vehicles passing through the area, and the speed limit will be reduced. Motorists are reminded to obey all road signs and flaggers, and to drive Slow for the Cone Zone.
