I-76 Exit Ramps Closed at Exit 82/Barlow Road Next Week
July 12, 2012 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - From Monday, July 16 and through Thursday, July 19, maintenance crews from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be milling and overlaying pavement on Barlow Road underneath the I-76 overpass.
Both westbound and eastbound exit ramps off of I-76 will be closed at mile marker 82. As the main roadway to Wal-Mart and the Excel Beef Plant, Barlow Road receives a heavy amount of truck traffic, which has compromised the smoothness of the roadway and necessitated repairs.
Ramp closures will in effect, weather permitting, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day of the four-day project. Since both exit ramps will be closed, exits from I-76 must be made at Exit 80 or Exit 86. Motorists are reminded to obey all road signs and flaggers, and to drive Slow for the Cone Zone.
