US 40 Bridge Closed Tomorrow over I-70
June 11, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close the U.S. 40 bridge over Interstate 70 (Empire Junction) tomorrow for rotomilling and asphalt patching operations.
Work begins at 8 a.m. and should be completed about 2 p.m. Traffic on eastbound U.S. 40 will be detoured east onto the frontage road, and back to I-70 at the Lawson Interchange. Eastbound I-70 traffic wanting to access westbound U.S. 40 will need to continue east to the Lawson exit, and take the frontage road west to Highway 40.
