US 34 Bridge Repairs Next Monday East of Akron

June 21, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - Repairs will last only one day.

WASHINGTON COUNTY On Monday, June 25, 2012 maintenance crews from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be repairing a bridge on US 34 at mile marker 206.5, approximately 10 miles east of Akron.

Crews will be out from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on US 34 leveling the westbound approach to the bridge from the highway to make it smoother. Full traffic control will be in place with both flaggers and pilot car to direct motorists through the construction zone. One lane of the two lane highway will be closed at all times during work hours. The speed through the project will be reduced to 40 MPH and CDOT would like to remind motorists to Slow for the Cone Zone.
