CDOT Names New Audit Division Director
She brings 20 years of auditing, financial accounting, and business administration experience in both the public and private sectors to her new position.
At CDOT, she will lead a 11-member division that is responsible for conducting internal and external reviews and audits as well as assisting CDOT divisions and workgroups with implementation of best practices and business controls. CDOT has approximately 3,100 employees at more than 250 locations statewide.
In state government, Gold previously worked for the Colorado Division of Gaming, the Colorado State Auditor’s Office, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and the Colorado Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division. She has private sector experience with the Teller House Casino in Central City, the Jewish Community Center in Denver, and Galileo International of Denver.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting/Business Computer Information Systems from Mesa College in Grand Junction, and her Master’s Degree in Human Resource/Organization Development from Colorado State University.
She succeeds longtime CDOT Audit Division Director Casey Tighe, who recently retired.
