Clear Creek Canyon Open for Weekend

May 18, 2012 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - JEFFERSON COUNTY – U.S. 6 though Clear Creek Canyon is open for the weekend between the junction of State Highways (SH) 58 and 93 in Golden and SH 119.

Rockfall Work Continues on US 550, Red Mountain Pass - Extended Work Hours

May 18, 2012 - PROJECT UPDATE - Southwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - OURAY COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation continues work on a project to reduce the potential for rockfall on US 550 on Red Mountain Pass south of Ouray, between the Bear Creek Tunnel and the snow shed (mile marker 91).

CDOT to Begin US 50 Resurfacing in Delta & Montrose Counties

May 21, 2012 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - DELTA/MONTROSE COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Intermountain Slurry Seal will begin a project next Tuesday, May 29, to resurface two sections of US 50 in Delta and Montrose counties.

US 50 Cerro Summit Slide Repairs, Phase II

May 21, 2012 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - MONTROSE COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Tricon 2, LLC, begin work today on the Cerro Summit Slide Repair, Phase II, on US 50 about 12 miles east of Montrose between mileposts 103.7 and 107. Tricon 2 was awarded a $2.2 million contract for this work.

SH 82 Grand Avenue Bridge Public Open House & Presentation on June 6

May 23, 2012 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - GLENWOOD SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation will be holding a public open house and presentation on Wednesday, June 6, from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m., at the Glenwood Springs Community Center (100 Wulfsohn Road) to present the results of the second level of alternatives screening conducted for the SH 82 Grand Avenue Bridge Environmental Assessment.

Bridge Crack Closes Highway 12 Near Weston

May 24, 2012 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - LAS ANIMAS COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has closed State Highway (SH) 12, approximately one mile west of Weston, after a crack developed on the deck of the Purgatoire River Bridge.

Mount Evans Highway Opens Friday

May 24, 2012 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will open the Mount Evans Highway – State Highway 5 – for the season on Friday, May 25, at noon.
