Interchange Reconstruction Begins Thursday on State Highway 83

May 9, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - PARKER – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is partially closing the State Highway 83 (Parker Road)/Crown Crest Boulevard intersection tomorrow for reconstruction as part of an upcoming resurfacing project through Parker.

Beginning Thursday morning, all westbound lanes of Crown Crest will be closed approaching Parker Road.  It is scheduled to remain closed until Wednesday, May 16.  During the closure, all traffic will be detoured north to E. Cottonwood Drive or south to E. Pine Lane.

Eastbound Crown Crest will remain open while the westbound lanes are closed, providing access to area businesses and the medical center.

When the reconstruction of the westbound lanes is complete, currently scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 17, eastbound Crown Crest will be closed, with all eastbound traffic placed on the new westbound lanes.  All westbound traffic will continue to be detoured back to Parker Road via Cottonwood Drive or Pine Lane.

The intersection reconstruction is expected to be completed by Wednesday, May 23.

Paving operations begin after Memorial Day between Lincoln Avenue and Cottonwood Drive.  CDOT will distribute specific information regarding the start date and traffic impacts in the next couple of weeks.
