Concrete Replacement on I-25 Restarts Tonight

May 2, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - Work will extend the life of the interstate.

LARIMER/WELD COUNTIES — Beginning tonight, Wednesday, May 2, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will resume concrete replacement on I-25 from mile marker (MM) 266 at Harmony Road to MM 272 at Mount Vista. Work had been on hold for the winter and thanks to warmer temperatures, crews can now move forward to finish removing and replacing the damaged and broken concrete on the interstate, which will extend the life of the highway and prevent further damage to the roadway in the future.

Night work will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays until June 2012, when the project is expected to finish. Motorists should expect delays on both northbound and southbound I-25 as traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and speeds will be reduced to 45 MPH through the work zone. Alternate routes are advised. There are no oversize/overweight restrictions at this time.

CDOT would like to remind motorists to obey all road signs and flaggers, and to drive Slow for the Cone Zone. To receive updates about road conditions in the area, visit www.coloradodot.info/ and click on the green cell phone icon in the upper right hand corner of the page.
