US 36 Managed Lanes Phase 2 Received Four Statements of Qualification (SOQ)
April 20, 2012 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - Today the Colorado High Performance Transportation Enterprise (HPTE) received four Statements of Qualification (SOQ) from industry teams in response to the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) released on February 21, 2012.
The responding teams are:
- Plenary Roads Denver, including The Plenary Group, Ames Construction, Inc., Granite Construction , HDR, Transfield Services and Goldman Sachs.
- Denver Access Partners, including Cintra Infraestructuras, S.A., Ferrovial Agroman US Corp., Lawrence Construction Company, and AZTEC Engineering Group, Inc.
- Accelerate 36 Consortium, including Balfour Beatty Capital, Edgemoor Infrastructure and Real Estate, Brisa, Atkinson Construction, Parsons Brinckerhoff, and Scotiabank.
- US 36 Development Partners, including Isolux Corsán, Terracare Associates, Atkins, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, and THB Advisory.
The US36 Corridor connects downtown Denver with Boulder and is a priority regional transportation project in one of the highest growth corridors in the state.
A short list of qualified proposers is expected to be announced in May, and final Request for Proposals (RFP) issued mid-August.
The successful team is expected to design, build and finance Phase 2 of US36 and operate and maintain the managed lanes in the complete US 36 corridor and I-25 Express Lanes, comprising approximately 24 miles in total. The DBFOM agreement will be structured as a toll concession and is expected to have a term of 50 years.
