Public Invited to Highway 83 Open House

April 19, 2012 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - Intersection improvements at Walker Road to be considered.

EL PASO COUNTY – The public is invited to a Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) open house regarding proposed improvements at the State Highway 83/Walker Road intersection in north El Paso County. It will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, at Ray E. Kilmer Elementary School, 4285 Walker Road, about two miles east of SH 83.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., representatives from CDOT will be presenting various available options to improve traffic safety and movements through the intersection, including a new warning system. A recent rise in traffic on Walker Road has made crossing SH 83 problematic at times.
