Overnight Lane Closure at Twin Tunnels

March 12, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be closing one lane of Interstate 70 through the Twin Tunnels for inspection work this week.

One lane of eastbound I-70 will be closed through the eastbound tunnel beginning at 6 tonight, continuing through 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 13.

Drivers should anticipate some delays approaching the tunnel, especially during daytime hours. However, CDOT will monitor traffic and adjust and/or remove the lane closure if long backups develop.

If the work is not completed overnight Monday, lane closures will continue the following night (Tuesday into Wednesday) during the same hours.
