I-70 Traffic Stops Thursday at Georgetown Hill
Traffic stops originally were scheduled on Wednesday but equipment availability requires a one day delay.
Beginning at 10:30 a.m., traffic on eastbound and westbound I-70 will be stopped for 20 minutes, approximately twice an hour. Westbound traffic will be stopped at the Georgetown interchange; eastbound traffic at Silver Plume. Safety considerations require full traffic stops. Work will continue until approximately 5 p.m.
If adverse weather requires a postponement, work will again be rescheduled.
On days when traffic stops are not taking place, drivers can expect a right lane closure on westbound I-70, from Georgetown to near Silver Plume, during the same hours (no work on Fridays or weekends). Traffic delays should be expected.
