Lane closure at Twin Tunnels postponed until next week

February 7, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is rescheduling its Twin Tunnel geological survey work until next week due to the possibility of additional winter weather this week.

Beginning on Monday, February 13, at 7 p.m., one lane of eastbound I-70 will be closed through the Twin Tunnels around the clock through Friday, February 17, at 10 a.m. If necessary, and traffic and weather conditions allow, the lane closure might be extended until Saturday, February 18 at 10 a.m

Drivers should anticipate some delays approaching the tunnel, especially during daytime hours. However, CDOT will monitor traffic and adjust and/or remove the lane closure if long backups develop.

Weekly lane closure information about this and other projects will be available at www.coloradodot.info/travel/scheduled-lane-closures.html or by calling 511.  To receive project updates via e-mail, visit www.coloradodot.info and click on the cell-phone icon in the upper right-hand corner.  The link takes you to a list of items you can subscribe to, including I-70 West, Denver to Glenwood Springs.
