Surface Maintenance Project on Highway 109
Beginning on Tuesday, January 10, and continuing through Friday, January 13, flaggers will alternate traffic through various locations, beginning at the south end of La Junta and continuing south eight miles (mile 55 – 47). Delays around 10 minutes can be expected from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Crack sealing prevents water from entering a highway’s base and sub-base areas, extending the pavement life by three to five years.
